Professional Development

The Midwest City-Del City Public Schools Foundation is a community-based nonprofit organization that for 22 years has been promoting and supporting the Midwest City and Del City public schools by inspiring excellence in education.

Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to every school in the district.

Grants have allowed teachers and school sites the opportunity to try new things and think creatively as they develop students who are safe, challenged and ready!

Help Homeless Students

Your donation to this fund helps homeless students participate in school activities they wouldn't otherwise be able to due to their family's economic situation, and that aren't covered by federal grant funds. This fund covers costs and fees for activities like sports physicals, ROTC, art, Advanced Placement and other testing fees, and more. Click here to make a contribution!

Recent Foundation News

Foundation Trustees announced 2010-11 awards totaling $24,000, with funding for each Mid-Del school library, including a grant to set up an Advanced Learning library (thanks to a generous donor). In the current climate of major shortfalls for public education, and with budgets for school libraries in Mid-Del eliminated this year, the Foundation made this award to help libraries with basic resources and to reach as many students and schools as possible.

Input Requested in Superintendent Search

The Mid-Del Board of Education has started the search for a new and permanent superintendent. The Oklahoma State School Boards Association is assisting the board in the search process, and has designed a short survey that will gather community members' suggestions. Please help by clicking here to complete this brief online survey!
